Some students are better at tests than others

For many students, the EQAO testing program will be their first experience in taking a formalized test. These are Primary and Junior Division resource and practice EQAO test booklets with information for parents and students to ensure success for children in Ontario.

Parent/Teacher Resource Booklet (48 Pages)

Both the Junior and Primary Division Resource booklets contain:

  • Dr. Don's six step test writing strategy plus ample practice and coaching in how to use this strategy

  • help and practice in identifying key words

  • information about the type of questions on the tests

  • guide on how to answer questions that require students to make up and write out

  • when and how to guess

  • help with the "Language of Mathematics"

  • Dr. Don's Problem Solving strategy plus ample practice and coaching suggestions about impromptu practice

  • expanded answers for many questions - includes not only the correct answer but also the challenge of the question to help parents and students understand errors.

     

    Practice Test (48 Pages)

    Both the Junior and Primary Division test booklets contain 3 tests each:

    • Language 1
    • Language 2
    • Mathematics

    All tests totally mirror the actual EQAO tests in content, type and number of questions, style, format, etc.
